The lecture series for undergraduates gives an overview of the materials used in construction processes and their properties as well as related technologies. It discusses the interplay of creative, technological, material-related and ecological requirements for architecture and the built environment. The focus is on designers‘ newly awakened interest in materiality and design that is conscious of materials and manufacturing.
