Focus Digital Design and Automation
Tasks:
- Dissertation / Research within the robotic laboratory of the research group
- Teaching courses with a focus on digital design and implementation methods
- Collaboration in research, teaching and administrative tasks of the research group as well as participation in exhibitions, examinations and evaluation measures
- Collaboration in writing research proposals and obtaining external funding as well as publication activities
Required qualifications:
- Completed diploma or master’s degree in architecture
- Excellent skills in architectural design and sound knowledge of current architectural discourse (this must be presented in a detailed portfolio in digital form and attached to the application as a link)
- Strong understanding of the interaction between design, structure, materialization and ecological factors
- Excellent knowledge of computer skills in relevant programs, digital design strategies, methods of modeling at different scales
- Knowledge of ML/AI is desired
- Experience in implementation and materialization with a primary focus on digital fabrication processes is desired
- Experience in teaching and/or professional practice
- Commitment, strong communication and teamwork skills
- Very good English language skills

Focus Digital Design and Implementation Methods
Tasks:
- Contributing to and independently teaching courses in the field of structure and design with a focus on digital design and implementation methods as assigned to the extent of 8 semester hours
- Contributing to research-led teaching in the field of robotic fabrication and digital methods in prototyping
- Participation in and independent preparation and follow-up of teaching and its results including publication activities and exhibitions
- Participation in the supervision of students‘ thesis projects; participation in research, teaching and administrative tasks of the department as well as participation in examinations and evaluation measures
- Participation in the writing of research proposals and the acquisition of third-party funds as well as publication activities
- Organizational and administrative tasks in the area of structure and design
