CLAY PRINTING WITH POINTS AND PATHES

The students designed a full-scale sponge-like column system (1x1x3m) using clay 3D printing. The design approach was driven by volumetric design principles. Multiple digital design methods, structural analysis and optimization guides were used in the process. Additionally, the unique characteristics and limitation of clay and the 3D printing process were considered in order to create a successful final structure.
