The master thesis „Vertical Crates“ is a design project that aims to improve the current situation at the Campus Technik of the University of Innsbruck. Currently four faculties share the campus but have little or no contact with each other. As well the shared rooms don’t allow much cooperation among each other, as everything is spatially separated. This project aims to create a space that is primarily focused on exchange and creates a kind of knowledge landscape. This landscape will be an artificial vertical landscape due to the restricted space.
The focus on wooden material is clearly defined and modified and adapted through influences of the topography.
