The aim of the FFG-funded project 3D Vision is to develop novel methods and processes in architecture and urban planning base on the application of 3D point clouds from laser scanning. In the architectural part, the focus lies on application in architecture and urban planning: newly recorded indoor and generated facade point clouds in combination with the derived building models are deployed to generate information products for urban planning, to develop tools for online visualization and to transfer the data into an augmented reality environment.
